ALAA QARI, BDS, DScD is a dentist who earned a doctoral degree from Boston University in Dental Public Health with a concentration in Health Communication and Promotion. In addition to completing a residency in Geriatric Dental Medicine also from Boston University, she is a Dental Public Health Faculty at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Qari is an UNLEASH alumni, which is a global innovation lab, where she worked on a scalable solution project to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

She has worked on public health projects with US and international organizations, and is an  expert in intervention planning and applying user-centered design principles in developing health technologies. Dr. Quari’s research, awarded the First Place for the Leverett Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dental Public Health in 2020, is focused on assessing the quality of mobile dental apps. She is currently working on improving dental care access for the older adults using a home care model and teledentistry.



ANITA CHAMBERS, PhD MBA is the founder and president of Odulair, the only mobile clinic manufacturer owned and operated by a licensed medical professional. She is the recipient of multiple U.S. Patents for mobile clinics, the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award, and Congressional Commendations. After graduating from the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Chambers spent three years performing diagnostic imaging from a mobile clinic, after which she was recruited into the medical device industry where she spent 21 years developing Class II medical devices. In 2003, she founded Advanced Mobile Hospital Systems.


BRANT HERMAN is the co-founder and CEO of MouthWatch, a leader in teledentistry technology with a mission to improve oral health around the world through innovative software and products that improve communications, enhance understanding and facilitate the delivery of dental care. Widely known in the field of teledentistry, Brant is a frequent public speaker and author of articles in leading oral health-related publications. He spearheaded the Teledentistry Innovation Awards to bring attention to innovators and pioneers of teledentistry. Brant studied Organizational Communication at Sonoma State University and Uppsala University in Sweden and grew his passion for building companies during the first Silicon Valley technology boom. Prior to forming MouthWatch, Brant founded a health and wellness company, worked as a dental practice manager and as an operations manager in a medical billing and health insurance claims processing company.


BRIAN HUNTER & SHAD TREADAWAY, known as the Rhinoguys, are creative branding experts and marketing strategists with years of marketing, business leadership, and dental experience. 

Brian is a leadership and team culture expert. He has 20 years of public speaking as well as entrepreneurial and executive leadership experience for large multi-million dollar organizations. His specialty is creating multi-tiered workflow systems to maximize efficiency and clear interdepartmental communication. As a gifted strategist, he has coached thousands of leaders nationwide in personal and organizational growth.

Shad and his family have extensive knowledge and experience in the dental field, with a combined 55 years of experience in providing services to dentists and dental network partners. He is an entrepreneur, founding multimillion dollar businesses and leading large nonprofit organizations that have touched the lives of tens of thousands of people around the world. He has a prolific history of 17 years as a public speaker, life and leadership coach, business executive, brand shaper, and marketer.



BROOKE CROUCH, RDH is Outreach Coordinator for New Horizons Healthcare, a not-for-profit community-based healthcare center based in Virginia. With a personal mission of increasing access to care for all patients, she envisions dentistry expanding from the typical brick-and-mortar setting to better serve communities. Brooke’s expertise includes clinical practice in the remote supervision model, advocating, consulting, and building mobile dentistry programs.


BROOKE MO FUKUOKA, DMD, GPR CERTIFICATE is dentist-owner of Your Special Smiles, a mobile dental practice whose goal is to increase the quality of life for adults who have special needs and geriatric patients with limited mobility through caregiver education and increasing access to comprehensive dental care. As a Fellow in the Special Care Dentistry Association, she is a national public speaker with expertise in Silver Diamine Fluoride, Special Care Dentistry, and Interdisciplinary Care. Dr. Fukuoka advocates for solutions to safely expand access to care for patients who face barriers to care.



CHRISTY JO FOGARTY, RDH, ADT, BSDH, MSOHP is the first certified advanced dental therapist in the United States. Dual licensed as a dental hygienist, she works for Children’s Dental Services, a non-profit dental clinic based in Minnesota which has served children and pregnant women for 100 years. Christy Jo holds a masters degree as an oral healthcare practitioner from Metropolitan State University, is the Past-President of the American Academy of Dental Therapy, the Minnesota Dental Therapy Association, and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry. She has testified in several conventions, states legislatures, and in front of a national senate commission on behalf of dental therapy.



CINDY PURDY, RDH, BSDH is a thought leader in both mobile and teledentistry and is the co-author of Teledentistry: Pathway to Prosperity, Critical Decisions Workbook. As a certified Telehealth Facilitator, she helped establish a hybrid traditional and virtual dental practice that provides accessible dental health care services in a rural mountain community in southern Colorado. In addition to being a national speaker, Cindy advocates for workplace wellness and equity of care for patients and communities.



DOVETTA JOHNSON is currently employed by VOCO America, Inc. as the Director of Marketing Communications and the Director of Professional Relations – Hygiene. She has over 35 years in the dental industry and prides herself on bringing cutting edge products, procedures and technologies to dental professionals, making their practices more efficient and cost effective, through her unique brand of Sales and Marketing. Ms. Johnson mentors and speaks throughout the United States on dental materials, building professional relationships, women’s issues and the opportunities in corporate dentistry. She is known to many as the “Ultimate Networker” putting people, products and technology together.



JACKIE SANDERS, MBA, RDH is Chief Editor of RDH Magazine with expertise in trend-setting and helping others achieve their goals. With more than four decades in the dental industry, she has held various roles from expanded duty dental assistant, to insurance specialist and consultant. She championed the Sunstar/RDH Award of Distinction and also led the charge in developing RDH Evolution, a conference exploring career development. Her personal commitments... “It’s important to be happy, be a positive influence, and make a difference.”



JEFF HOLT, CMPE, VP is the Senior Healthcare Business Financial Consultant with PNC Bank and has spent the last fifteen years providing financial consulting and supporting healthcare professional business, practice owners and their managers. As a past Florida MD Magazine monthly columnist on Healthcare Banking and Finance and past leader of healthcare student education programs at state colleges (UF & FSU), he holds strong alliances with local healthcare societies and healthcare business professionals. Jeff leads PNC Bank’s Society Member Value Program initiative (10 partnering societies) and a joint initiative with the local Physician, Dentist, and Practice Manager Societies for improved Coordinated Care and Patient Cross Industry Referrals.



JERRY CAUDILL, DMD, FAGD, MAGD, CDC, CTCP, FPFA, FICD, FACD is the Associate National Dental Director for Avēsis / Guardian and an experienced Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial dental insurance executive with a demonstrated history of working in the health and wellness industry. As a nationally recognized speaker on Medicaid dental administration, he is skilled in Fraud, Waste, and Abuse investigation and AADC Certified (CDC). Dr. Caudill is currently the board examiner for the Council of Interstate Testing Agencies (CITA Board). Additionally, he is the Avēsis point person for teledentistry and mobile dentistry and a member of the teledentistry committee for the KY Board of Dentistry.



JOY VOID-HOLMS, RDH, BSDH, MHSc, AADH holds a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University and is a registered dental hygienist with over 25 years of clinical experience in private practice. She is founder of Dr. Joy, RDH™, co-founder of Inspire the Future Summit™, and creator of the Dental Hygiene Student Planner™. Dr. Joy is program chair for Fortis Institute, Landover Dental Hygiene Program and holds a faculty position at the American Denturist School. Dr. Joy is a professional speaker and published author who has presented continuing education courses nationally and internationally in the areas of instrumentation, ultrasonics, infection control, and nutrition and biochemistry. She serves as a Consultant Examiner for the CDCA examination board and is President of the Maryland Dental Hygienists' Association.


JULIE COE, DDS, MS, MBA is a full-time faculty member of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. She holds a Master of Science and certificate in Operative Dentistry and Dental Public Health from the University of Iowa and DDS from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. Prior to joining the Master’s program, Dr. Coe also earned a Master’s in Business Administration and Health Administration at the University of Iowa and worked for a number of healthcare organizations. She broadened her career to the combination of practice of dentistry and healthcare management after realizing how the health delivery system affects patient care. She published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and received national and local awards and grants. Dr. Coe holds several invention disclosures for her creation for newly designed software and an air flow device for cancer patients.

  

LANE LOSEE is the COO for Jet Dental, the national leader in portable on-site dentistry for large employers. He is a talented operational leader with the education and experience to successfully scale organizations across the United States. His education comes from the highly ranked MBA program at Brigham Young University with a focus on Operations Management. Professionally, Lane has worked in the consumer packaged goods, pharmacy and dental industries. His management experience has included direct oversight of a team of over 250 operations-based employees.


MARGARET SCARLETT, DMD is an infectious and chronic disease prevention specialist, dentist, and author. For 30 years, Dr. Scarlett has provided expert guidance on infectious diseases and infection control as a consultant to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization, the United States Agency for International Development, the American Red Cross, and many consumer health companies.


MARK MEYERS is Director of Operations of Doorstep Healthcare Services, a mobile, non-profit, dental organization serving Minnesota. He leads the strategic growth and client outreach initiatives of On Call Clinicians, a mobile and telehealth primary care group, as well as Access Health Care Services, a mobile and teletherapy organization which provides behavioral health and physical therapies. He is a father of four and is integral in leading companies through stages of growth.


MELISSA TURNER,  BASDH, RDHEP, EFDA is a national thought leader, dental advisor, speaker, and published author. With extensive experience within both teledentistry and mobile delivery, she is co-founder of the National Mobile & Teledentistry Conference. Melissa is Chief Hygiene Officer at Cellerant Consulting and creator of I Heart Mobile Dentistry, a Facebook networking community for clinicians practicing mobile dentistry. Melissa’s passion is to improve the dental experience for both patient and provider alike.


NIKKI RESSET, RDH is Hygiene Director for Bridging Brighter Smiles, a non-profit mobile dental hygiene group providing preventative care to under-served children throughout Wisconsin. Supporting 22 clinical teams who provide dental services to 13,000 under-served students and in 400 schools, Nikki feeds her passion for helping others through mobile dentistry. Beginning her career in dentistry more than twenty years as a dental assistant, she earned her dental hygiene degree in 2004.


PAM CUSHENAN, RDH, MS, FSCDH is President and CEO of Soft Smiles, a specialized oral health training program designed to assist professional and family caregivers in meeting the daily oral care needs of geriatric patients. A passionate health professional dedicated to improving the welfare of older adults and other vulnerable populations through oral-systemic channels. She is an Air Force veteran, holds a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology, a Fellowship in Special Care Dental Hygiene, an Alzheimer’s Training Institute Certificate and is a Certified Nursing Assistant. In addition to working in academia and winning multiple awards, Pam is a national speaker, an education specialist and an advocate for the advancement of access to care options.


PATRICIA MAJKA, CRDH, BASDH has extensive history providing mobile dentistry in skilled nursing facilities. Holding various managerial and clinical roles in both private practice and corporate dentistry, she holds expertise in the areas of hiring, training, managing and corporate event planning. Patricia’s career in dentistry began more than 36 years ago as a dental assistant and subsequently earned her dental hygiene degree in 1996. Currently completing higher education, she expects to become a dental hygiene educator. 


RICHARD DEST, DDS is the founder and CEO of Senior Dental Care in North Carolina. He opened the original Dest Family Dentistry at a university location in 1985 and by 2013 added ten additional private practice locations. Dest Dental Management was formed to support and maintain the workload created by the success of the practice locations. Senior Dental Care and Senior Smiles were then created to provide mobile dentistry. In May 2019, he purchased Coronado Dental Services of Arizona and subsequently relaunched under his own brand. In 2020, Moving Smiles launched to provide workplace dentistry for the convenience and benefit of the employee and the employer.


RYAN LEE, DDS, MPH, MHA, FAGD, FICOI is a dental oncologist, military officer and healthcare industry advisor. He is passionate about oral delivery model innovation, data-driven implant reconstruction, and interprofessional collaboration for health equity. Earning degrees from Northwestern (economics), Harvard (biology), A.T. Still (health administration), and NYU (DDS, 2010 w/honors), Dr. Lee completed postgraduate training at Mount Sinai (hospital dentistry) and Memorial Sloan Kettering (dental oncology). Working in academia led him to co-direct the Special Patient Care program at NYU. Today, he is CEO of Morning Calm Dental Management, CMO of BioShield Healthcare and owns multiple dental practices across the United States. Dr. Lee has served with the U.S. Army National Guard for more than ten years and currently holds the rank of Major.


SARAH LUETKE, RDH is founder of Sound Dental Care, a mobile dental hygiene practice that provides preventative dental services in more than 59 senior centers, adult family homes, nursing homes and assisted living facilities across Washington. She discovered her love for the geriatric and special needs population during her years in private clinical dental practice. Sarah’s expertise in working closely with patients, families and facilities has reinforced her life mission of serving patients who face barriers to dental care.


SONYA DUNBAR, RDH, MHA, also known as the Geriatric ToothFairy, is an oral health educator whose mission is to reduce the health risks and morbidity among seniors due to poor oral health. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 27 years in addition to a TEDx and national speaker. Her passion for the geriatric community is evident when she speaks — guided by decades of dental experience in private practice, skilled nursing facilities, and academia. Sonya is co-owner of Mobile Dental Xpress, a dental practice that provides comprehensive dental care to residents in skilled nursing facilities, in addition to being a US Navy Veteran. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Gerontology, Sonya is the CEO of The Geriatric ToothFairy, co-founder of the National Mobile & Teledentistry Conference, and a published author of Golden Nuggets For Life.


STACI STOUT, RDH, BSDH is an award-winning industry expert in both mobile delivery and teledentistry. As founder and owner of multiple organizations that take dental care into workplaces, schools and other locations, she has more than 30 years experience in dentistry. Past-president of the Utah Dental Hygienists’ Association, she currently works as an educator. Staci is an elected member of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society and is a recipient of the UDHA Outstanding Leadership and Dedicated Service Awards. Winner of the Innovator of the Year Award for Teledentistry, Staci enjoys providing oral care and education in underserved communities both locally and abroad.


TANNER CLARK, DMD is Dental Director of Denticare Management and holds leadership positions in community health and nonprofit organizations which provide care for children and seniors using teledentistry and mobile delivery. After earning a degree in Neuroscience at  Bringham Young University, he completed his dental degree at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Clark currently works in private practice in Utah. 


THOMAS LOVINGER is CEO of Golden Age Dental Care, Southern California’s largest and oldest mobile dental care company. With extensive years in healthcare administration and a drive to ensure that no skilled nursing facility resident is without oral healthcare, he is a devoted volunteer whose focus is working with homeless youth. With a degree from Arizona State University, Thomas currently holds a board position for the California Association of Healthcare Facilities. 


TINA MAVIRYANNAKIS, RDH is founder and CEO of The Smile Room, an innovative mobile practice allowing more Canadians to keep their regular dental hygiene appointments. With extensive executive and operational experience for two national corporate dental groups covering over 40 practices, she earned her dental hygiene degree from George Brown College in 1997 and holds a post-graduate degree in Restorative Dental Hygiene.
